Yes, you can't use FIRE magic or any fire of any type. Think about it in the real world if you used fire on a chicken what happens to its WINGS?

Yeah, unless he's using a very new and interesting definition of "drop," then the Tapestry Shred thing doesn't work ...

Also tried taking the set (Stuff + Tap Shred) to the nests in Regent and the Katharine with no luck.

I'm confused...

I got my moa egg (unhardened), collected the skree wings and went hunting for the nesting materials. But the collector isn't where she is shown on wiki. And it isn't just that she has the normal items but no nesting materials, she is not there at all. Does anyone know why this would be? Do you have to have the lava rocks and hardened egg to get the nesting material?

Goren used a specific Xunlai box as the incubator for his shiny rock... Anyone tried it?

You have a quest from Night fall loaded which is changing how that area spawns, you'll have to complete it. Already ran into that problem with a few guild mates who had the same problem.

I took one of my rangers who has all 3 chapters to the moa nest. Clicked on the nest and nothing happened. No text, no egg, nothing.

edit: Disregard. I didn't see that there were other nests. I went to the wrong one first time. My Bad.

There are three nests, you get the egg from the far back one.

So... has anyone been through the Desolation? More specifically used the portal to (or from) the Arid Sea?

Just wondering since no one (as far as I can tell) has found the Nightfall link to this easter egg hunt and there are collectors there, plus its a relatively unvisited area.

Oh and don't forget all the Great Zehtuka and all his dropped pieces. Could the Great one have had a long lost mini moa?

People with Proph's can use Egg + Fish + Rock + GWEN Thing = Moa

Then you would only need 2 campaigns, and possibly GW:EN since you cannot get the egg in any other campaign except Proph. So if you do not own Proph, but own Nightfall and Factions, your SoL.

Too funny, I made the official wiki. Vanessa my post (exact same you quoted) is about 2 before your post in this thread.

OF COURSE my post was tongue in cheek. Nearly everything you read in this thread will be. Kudos to anet for this neat little 'mini game'.

ok, HERE'S the really real solution:

- Drop Hardened egg, nesting material, rock
- Hop on left foot (in real life) while reciting the Gettysburg Address backwards
- Wait for the plantes to align so that Saturn is in Jupiter's 4th lunar cycle AND Pluto obscures the Dog Star from Mars' view
